My Dream House

My Dream House

            House is the place to stay together with part of our family. A good house is the house that makes the dweller fells so comfortable. My dream house is the house that has complete facility and wide garden. I want to try my best to get my dream house in my future later on.

            Actually, my dream house is so simple to make if I have a lot of money. Because I ‘m Balinese, I will build my house use Bali style because I am proud as Balinese, it means I respect Bali culture as my culture. In the first floor of my house I want to have six bedrooms, one bedroom for my parents, one bedroom for me, and the other bedroom for my children later on. In every bedroom I want to have complete furniture and facilities such as there are bathrooms, table, chair, television, etc. In every bathroom there are complete facilities such as shower, the thing that use to organize temperature of the water so that I enjoy when take a bath. In the kitchen of my house I want to have complete facilities such as refrigerator to put the foods, vegetable, meat, eggs, cold drink, etc, the stove to cook everyday and the other facility.

            In the second floor of my house I will make a big living room, the purpose just as a place together with part of my family. In every side of the second floor there are many windows, the purpose just so that I can enjoy the view from the second floor. In the right side of my house I will make a wide garden filled with complete kind of fruits. Behind of my house I will make swimming pool and small football yard. Because my hobby is playing football I will use that yard to play football together with my friends after work, my life cannot be separated from football. If we already get a lot of sweet we will swim together. Have you ever imagined to have your dream house? I think you will enjoy your daily activity at home and that is like heaven of world. I know to make my dream house will not be easy for me because it needs a lot of money , to get a lot of money the first thing that should I do is I must be successful. I want to make my family, friends, and the other that I love proud to me.

            “Home sweet home” is a word that really could express your feeling to have such a great house. My dream house is the house that makes me and my family feels comfortable; enjoy the situation, and safe. Although just small house it can be my dream house for me because the most important things for me is togetherness with part of my family. Luxury house is not always comfortable for me.

           

MORE THAN BEST FRIEND

We as human being cannot life alone without the other, everyone needs a friend. Favorite friend is someone who is very important in our life, someone that you trust, and someone who understand you. The best friend is always being there near of us when we feel happy, sad, down, etc. I have my favorite friend. His name is Agus and he is from Asah Gobleg village, Buleleng regency. He is tall and handsome person, he has 175 cm of tall and 70 kg of weight, and he has short black hair and oval face. Now, he studies at Ganesha University of Education and takes major in computer. We have a good relationship each other. When I have a problem that can’t solve by my-self he often gives me his best solution to help me solve my problem. My friend and I have many similarities in personality, habit, skill and hobby.

            He has many good personalities. His personality are the first one is he is responsible person same with me, when he does something he usually do it until getting a good result and he is never give up to get what he want. If he is not success to do something he will try again and again until get a good result. The second point we are friendly person , I friendly just to the people that I know like my friends in the class, my friends in my village and he is friendly to everyone, that is one of the reasons why he has many friends. Although he has many friends he is not arrogant person.

We know in this era it’s so difficult to find best friend because everything depend on money. The third point we are silent persons. If there is not something important, we never talks too much to our friends, but about his personal problem he usually share to me and I usually give him my best advice to help him solve his problem. The fourth point is he is shy person same with me and until now he doesn’t have girlfriend. Actually, there are some girls like him but he never opens his heart to them but to looking for the girl me usually more active than him. The last one is he is as my motivator that give me motivation when I have a problem, when I down and give me motivation to be better person than before. We also have many good habits such as; we are a diligent person, we never be absent to attend a meeting class in the campus since in first semester until now, when we makes agreement with the other we always came on time and never be late because our motto is time is money.

He likes to help each other same with me. He usually helps with his pleasure his neighbors that need his help and I usually help my friends in the class, village, that really need my help. He is smart person and has a good memory. He always gets a good result and score in every semester because he always studies hard. I always try to follow good habit of him but I cannot do it until now. I always study hard every day but sometimes I get little score. We have good similarities in hobby, our hobby is playing football. We usually play football together when we have free time after school. Our favorite football player is Christiano Ronaldo. Football player who came from Portugal country always be trend center in every game that is the reason why we like him so much. Now he plays for Real Madrid football club in Spain. We like him because he has a complete skill, a good dribble and strong shot when play in the field. He is the most expensive football player in the world until now. We also have a strong football team where in every game we always work together to make some goal and make our team wins.

            We have a good relationship until now. Beside that my friend and I have many similarities in personal, habit, skill, and hobby. That reason makes me so close with him because understand each other. We don’t think about what will happen tomorrow, next week, next month or even next year. We just know that we will be the best friend forever because he always helps me when I have a problem as long as he can, and I do so.

Mystery of pengerupukan day

                       

                                    MYSTERY OF PENGERUPUKAN DAY

            This incident came from my past. Last week we made a meeting with all member of youth organization in my village. The name of youth organization in my village is STT Mertasari (Sekha Truna-Truni Mertasari). We talked about making Ogoh – ogoh. In our Balinese tradition we know when we celebrated “pengerupukan day” we must be making and bring ogoh – ogoh around the village the purpose just to neutralize the bad power of our village.” Pengerupukan day” is holy day and we as Balinese usually celebrate it one year once by making and bringing ogoh-ogoh around the village. In the meeting my friends had idea to make ogoh-ogoh in this “pengerupukan day” but in my heart I disagreed with their idea to make ogoh-ogoh. I kept silence because I was afraid to talk and I knew that nothing I said or did would change the situation because lack of confidence that made me keeps silent.

            In Bali make ogoh-ogoh in “pengerupukan day” is our tradition because we can show our creation and we can make a good relationship each other especially in among STT. Last week the purpose of the meeting to let every member of youth organization open his/her mind about idea to make ogoh-ogoh in this “pengerupukan day”. In the meeting last week we just had limited time to determine our choice and every member of STT Mertasari free to give his/her own opinion about making ogoh- ogoh.

After every member of STT Mertasari give his/her own opinion about making ogoh-ogoh finally, almost all member of STT Mertasari agreed to make ogoh – ogoh in this year although there were some argument between one and other member. But that was the final result of our meeting last week and every member should be accept and respect the final result. We have enough money to make ogoh-ogoh. We got a lot of money from many source such as we make a bazaar every “Galungan day” and made other positive even. We as member of STT should be active and smart to look for a chance to get a lot of money not just depend on the other contribution.

 In my heart I disagreed with my friend’s opinion to make ogoh-ogoh because I had my own reason. My reason was last years when we were celebrated “pengerupukan day” by bringing ogoh-ogoh together around the village we had misunderstanding with the youth of other village. I didn’t want the same situation happened twice because I knew before the people brought ogoh-ogoh around the village they were drank together with their friends. When they were already under of alcohol control I think they couldn’t control their self well they were very often had misunderstanding each other even with their best friend. Actually at the meeting I wanted to protest but I didn’t have any courage to protest this problem in front of my friends. I was afraid if my friends had misunderstood with me. I hope the “pengerupukan day” in this year will not be same with the last years and everything will be ok.

We as Balinese people should be able to run our tradition properly so that we get a good result as what we want because the purpose of “pengerupukan day” is to neutralize the bad power of our village not to add the bad power by doing something wrong. Everyone especially Balinese people should be understands the meaning of “pengerupukan day” not just celebrate it by drinking the alcohol beverage. The incident last year taught me about many things and I got many experiences in my life to be better person than before. Can you image what will happen to our tradition if you are not aware and very often do something wrong? It will bring many negative impacts for our real life because “pengerupukan day is holy day.

Maybe next time I will do the protest if there is something wrong doing by my friends or the other. We know everything need a process and I think I need learn more from many source how to do a good protest. If we want to protest about something we must be have a strong reason so that the other trust us.
